Description
Replacement battery cable sets from Mopar can be very expensive and we've received many requests for high quality but more reasonably priced battery cables. We found them!
These heavy-duty Ram replacement cable kits are made from 2/0 ("two-aught") cable for the starter and engine block grounds. The tin-plated copper terminals are crimped with a 12-ton hydraulic crimper and are then sealed with adhesive-lined shrink wrap to help prevent corrosion from the battery's acidic fumes.
Cables are shipped with anti-corrosion battery washers and military-style battery terminals with "Nylox" style lock nuts.
**Some 2007 models may have a 90 degree starter lug. If so, you will have to bend the strait lug to fit.**
Battery Cable Kit Includes:
- Positive 2/0 battery-to-battery
- Positive 2/0 battery-to-starter with starter to junction block wire with splice
- Straight Start Lug. Some 2007 models may have a 90 degree starter lug
- Left negative with 3 wires
- Right negative with 2 wires
- 2 Positive and 2 Negative military-style battery terminals
- 4 Lock nuts
- 2 Red and 2 Black military-style battery terminal covers
- 2 Sets of terminal protector washers

I swapped out all 4 stock cables with the kit from Geno's.
3 cables were easy to replace, however the postive-to-starter cable is a tough one.
Ended up removing the front left wheel and fender shroud in order to gain access.
It was still very tight quarters in there.
All is installed and electrical problem appears to be resolved.
On a side note, the cables were ordered from Geno's with paid overnight shipment ($285 plus $80 shipping).
Geno's called the next day and said they were out of stock for another week.
Geno's then called their supplier, who happens to be about an hour drive from me.
Their supplier fabricated the cables on the spot, and hand delivered to my door.
Excellent customer service !!!
battery cable kit

I was disappointed in the battery cable kit , I ordered for my 2003 dodge cummins, There was no fusible link cable for the alternator to right battery. For the price I paid, It should have been included.
Owner Response:Mack,
Thank you for your purchase and for your review. We're very sorry that you expected a fusible link and were disappointed to not get one. This kit does not include a fusible link, and while we do list what is included with the kit online, we will update the description to state that the fusible link is not included to be sure it is clear moving forward. When building this kit, we debated what all it should include. To keep the cost down, we tried to focus on what was most often requested when doing this job, which is the battery cables.

I had some issues with the factory cables in my 03 Dodge Ram 2500. I purchased this kit and the alternator cable from Geno's and was pretty impressed overall. All of the cables were clearly marked and separated. The most painful part of the process was getting to the starter (remove the driver side wheel well shroud, and if you can purchase a 1/2 Deep Well Socket to get the clamp off the cable leading to the starter it will b=make it easier). Job took me a few hours due to the corrosion of the cables on my truck, but the new cables were fairly simple to install. All in all, great kit for a good price.

My factory cable ends were broken this is a really nice upgrade from factory cables are a lot heavier gauge than origional The hardest part is replacing the Positive to the starter Also go on and order the Alternator to battery cable when buying this kit to have it all replaced
