Description
The FASS DRP-04 for the '03-'04.5 Dodge Turbo Diesel trucks should be described as a "not so direct" replacement pump. The DRP-04 gives you the dependability of FASS products without the cost of a complete fuel system. The DRP-04 provides 80 GPH of fuel at 18-20 psi. The reason we call it the "not so direct" DDRP is because the DDRP-04 does not directly replace the the factory pump.
The DRP-04 kit comes complete with all of the necessary hardware for the relocation of the pump and instructions to make the installation straight forward.
Kit includes (6) banjo fitting gaskets to make the install easier.
NOTE: The DRP is not compatible with waste vegetable oil (WVO) or BioDiesel fuels.
WARRANTY INFORMATION: For the four year warranty to be in force, please fill out the "PRODUCT REGISTRATION FORM" included with your order, attach a copy of the sales receipt, and return this information directly to the manufacturer. FASS requires this information be returned within 30 days of the purchase, or the warranty will not be valid.

PUMP RELOCATION

Installation location could be better by designing bracket for location further back on the frame which would make it MUCH easier to drill mounting holes. The location is much more open than the one suggested by FASS. I had to extend the wiring patch cable for this modification which could be included in a new mounting position.

Simple in theory, mounting per instructions is not possible. I had to move location to 'close enough' and hope I had enough hose and wiring to make it work. Seems to me they should do a more thorough job of laying out the mounting bracket in a place where you can actually get an electric drill into to make holes. I called FASS for guidance and they said they have a relocation kit for a nominal fee. Seems to me it should be included for the price. This is my only bitch; The quality is good, but we'll see how long it lasts - the original lasted for 13 years. I really wish they could have just made a more robust direct replacement part. The pain in the butt installation was what kept me from giving it 4 stars.
