'97-'98 Dodge Cummins Diesel Fuel Filter Kit

Has your '97-'98, 12V Turbo Diesel developed a leak at either the top of the fuel filter housing due to years of use and material fatigue?

Have you tried to source a replacement kit from Chrysler of Cummins only to find it is no longer available or ridiculously priced?

Here is a cost-effective solution: use a replacement filter head and corresponding filter/water separator from the '94 to '96 vintage truck.

Kit includes:

Billet aluminum fuel filter head with fuel filter nipple
FS1253 fuel filter
3831852 water-in-fuel sensor
(4) 12MM banjo bolt gaskets
(2) 8MM banjo bolt gaskets

To make the water-in-fuel sensor operative you simply cut and splice into the existing wire leads to the sensor.

Finally got away from the canister filter. perfect retrofit and the W.I.F sensor plugged right with a little dermal work to round the flared edge.. FYI be sure and ask for the small return line washers, I reused mine with no problem but some might not be as lucky.. Thanks Genos!!

64 year-old Montana woman installed this fuel filter kit on my 98 ram Cummins 12v. Kit fit perfectly. Works great. Beats that ridiculous canister!
