Description
The A-pillar grab handle in '03-'09 Dodge Ram trucks is a known weak spot in the interior. Put too much weight on it and the mounting points will break.This Grab Handle Repair Kit for the driver and passenger side has eight aluminum bushings that reinforce the mounting points to help prevent the grab handle from breaking or to repair one that is already broken.
This kit will not fit 2010 and newer Ram trucks.
NOTE: This repair kit will only work if the mounting base is split. It will not work if the base is completely broken off of the a-pillar. They will also not work with new production A-pillars.

Precise fit & easy installation (less than five minutes). If you own a lifted Dodge and use the a pillar handle to assist yourself into the truck, it will eventually fail. Wish I had done this as a preventative measure.

Instructions said cut tabs off first, couldn't find tabs. Hardest part was getting bolts lined up.

I ordered the 3rd gen grab handle repair sleeves and they work great. Easy idea, easy install, great product. Only one of the holes was split out so I used both inner and outer sleeve for the upper hole. The lower hole on the drivers side wasn't split out yet so I only used the inner sleeve to reinforce the hole. The outer sleeve causes the A-pillar to not fit so close to the headliner but it's great knowing that when I swing up into my truck, the thing isn't going to let go on me.

Love the simplicity. Takes literally 10 minutes to install. Sure you can figure some way to do with other items but in this kit everything is there including new bolts. Comes out rock solid.

Yep, this was way overdue. So much so, I didn't discover this kit until I got a catalog listing this solution shipped inside the box that brought my new A-pillar grab handle. Plastic welded the old, put the kit in the new. Not hard to install...well, maybe a little if a gauge is mounted in the driver's side A pillar like in my 2005 3500. Note: directions say to knock the fins off the back pillar on one of the two pillars. Was backward instruction on my unit, those fins being on the opposite side. Go figure. Fillet knife words super as the plastic is pretty ductile.

My grab handles on my 04 Dodge Ram 2500 have been broken almost as long as I've owned the truck - which I bought new. I wasn't sure about this repair kit, but I am now a believer. Finally, the handles are more than useless decorations. Great product, with great service from Geno's. I recommend this to all Ram owners!

I have had my truck 10 years now and both grab handles have broken away. Poor design by Dodge. In both cases the bolt pulled through the plastic. Hoping the repair kit will prevent this from happening again.

The grab handle repair kit is phenomenal! No more flimsy handles. I'm 6'4, 230, and they didn't even move when I grabbed them the first time. Very solid and a must for any Ram. This should have come from the factory

Replaced my A pillars and wanted to reinforce them. Found these and they are wonderful. Very easy to install and very strong. I'm a heavy dude and my pillars don't even move when I put weight on them.
