Description
The '89-'06 Dodge Cummins starter solenoid suffers from the common problem of sticking and clicking starter contacts which is frustrating (especially on cold days), but easy to fix with this starter solenoid rebuild kit.The SuperSize Contacts included in this kit are a replacement for the stock starter contacts and fit perfectly. They are designed to carry twice the voltage load for easier starting and last years longer.
The rebuild kit includes:
- (2) SuperSize contacts
- (1) plunger

My 2nd Gen 2500 wouldn't start and I was looking at a $400 starter until I came across this kit. Ordered it on a friday expecting 5 or 6 days until I could get back on the road, but the AWESOME folks at Geno's got it shipped quick. The part arrived much sooner than expected and the quality was as good if not better than what came factory in the truck. Thank you Geno's for offering quality parts and for offering the parts I could not get in the big box stores.

I dealt with clicking my starter 4 or 5 times before it turning over for months until it took 25ish clicks in the dairy queen drive thru to convince me to spend the few dollars on this kit and man my truck starts better than ever. Very simple repair too.

Really easy to install. Harder to get the starter out than to replace the contacts. Take 9" worth of extension across the top of the starter with a wobble joint. Starter can be taken out and put back from under the truck.

Kit was delivered very fast and super simple install.
Make sure you have the right tools to remove the starter and simple 30 min swap out. Solid parts easy fit. Cant beat their price either!

I started to have an annoying started these would click found this kit on Genos and in about 30 minutes my problem was solved. The contactors are oversized for more contact area but everything fit perfectly into starter. Well worth the money

I bought this because of the very common issue of having to moving the key multiple times before the engine started. I took the starter off(helps a lot if you have an air wrench) and replaced the plunger and contacts. The starter works good as new now. This saved me hundreds of dollars from not having to buy a new starter and should make the starter last quite a bit longer.

These guys really know the inside scoop on Gen-2 Ram Cummins. My starter went out and I figured I'd have to shell out near $200 for a rebuilt at the local parts store. Geno's knew exactly what was wrong and saved me a good bit of money. Got to keep my own starter and just changed the solenoid contacts. Geno's always has the hard-to-find parts at great prices.
Took the wife out to a great meal with the money saved.

This is the second solenoid rebuild kit I purchased from Geno's Garage. The first one about seven years ago and the starter solenoid has not had any problems since. A different truck had the same issue of the starter not working so I ordered this second kit. I am very satisfied with both purchases.

This kit is great! It fixed my solenoid clicking issue on my truck. I would turn the key and click the solenoid up to 30 times before the truck would start and this solved it! Can't go wrong with this kit. Definitely recommended if you're having the same issue as I did.
