If you are concerned about a front driveshaft failure on your 1994-2002 Ram Cummins 12V and 24V 2500/3500 and want to avoid a failure turning into a catastrophe, this Front Driveshaft Loop Kit from Five Nine Fab is your answer.

What can happen: A driveshaft failure on our Ram trucks typically occur at the double cardan joint on the upper end of the shaft, next to the transfer case. After the driveshaft or transfer case breaks free, the loose driveshaft is likely to come through the cab floor, and can potentially rupture nearby fuel/brake/transmission lines; even causing fire in some cases.

This driveshaft loop will not prevent driveshaft failures, but it will protect from secondary damage in the event of a failure.

It is still recommended to grease and inspect your driveshaft frequently.
