Replacement power steering gear box by Plews & Edelmann.
APPLICATIONS: 1994-2002 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 2WD & 4WD - WITH 8,800 Lbs. front axle

• Every Plews & Edelmann steering gear box is made with 100% completely new components - nothing is used or rebuilt.
• Re-engineered design addresses traditional OE flaws and helps prevent premature, repeated failures.
• A Designated Numeric Asset (DNA) identification number is etched into the part, which verifies its authenticity and corresponds to an individualized test inspection report that is included with the product to confirm its level of quality.
Note: When replacing the power steering pump, steering box or hoses, it is mandatory to flush the power steering system. Failure to do so will result in damage to these parts and void the manufacturer warranty. Be sure that the front end is off of the ground before doing this. Typically you will need 3 quarts of fluid to refill the system.

My 99 2nd gen 2500 ram turbodiesel had a ton of slop in the steering. I did the youtube thing and adjusted "the screw" you know the one. I kept screwing it in till it finally bottomed out. The slop was a lot better but still there to an annoying degree. I looked into steering boxes and all of them are rebuilt except this unit which is made new. Wow,wow,wow what a difference no slop and effortless steering. Geno's has the best stuff at the best prices.
