Description
One of the leading causes of faults with the 47RE and 48RE Dodge transmissions is failed governor pressure transducers – this is more prevalent on performance transmissions that run higher line pressures. With the BD Pressure Transducer Upgrade Kit, the original plastic transducer is replaced by a more rugged, reliable and durable metal unit that can handle higher transmission line pressures without failure. The kit includes an electronic adapter to prevent over pressure codes and has a built-in temperature sensor for improved reliability.The heavy duty Borg Warner governor pressure solenoid has a stronger motor and stiffer armature spring which prevents wild oscillations when increasing line pressure. Does not use a permanent magnet so it will not attract metal contaminates in oil. Larger diameter spool valve develops more force to prevent debris accumulation and has more flow capacity. Developed specifically for the Dodge transmission.

Bought my truck 3rd owner. Previous owner drove it for a couple years with truck not taking off in 1st. 222,000 miles on it. Installed part now it shift like new again.

Easy to install. Directions are clear. Hacksaw and file are required to modify mounting plate. Easy to identify how to cut plate with new parts staged to install. New components work flawlessly, shifts are smooth and consistent with no line pressure codes or fluctuations in pressure or shifts.
Govenor Solenoid & Transducer Upgrade

Had erractic and sloppy shift points; going slowly uphills in second gear it would bounce to first and back to second. Once I upgraded the Solenoid & Transducer shifts are much better and no more bouncing. Installation was a breeze. Installing the new transducer requires you to cut a small piece off as it now has a clip on the inside instead of being held in place by the bracket.

Applied this upgrade to my Y2K 2500 CTD, 47RE W/ 187 miles. What a difference!! I'm actually impressed with this upgrade. Worth every penny. Improved drive ability and shifting... from first gear through OD. If you are having issues with the trans shifting in and out of 1st, 2nd & 3rd at all different rpms.... get this upgrade. You will not be sorry. Now the trans lets the torque of the engine do it's thing...
