Description

If you are installing an aftermarket exhaust manifold on your Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel, save yourself the frustration of trying to line the gaskets up with the manifold and cylinder head using the OEM bolts.

Simply install this stud kit, hang your exhaust manifold gaskets on the studs, and then install the exhaust manifold. The kit comes with the studs and nuts required for installation.

NOTE: This kit does not work on '89-'98 12-valve engines when the stock manifold is reused because the studs are too short.

NOTE: This kit does not include studs for the turbo-to-manifold connection.

NOTE: This kit does not allow you to re-use your OEM heat shield.

The stud kit came complete and well finished. When I installed them, I had to gauge the depth of each one in order to make them similar in extended length through the new manifold. As a suggestion, having a shoulder in the middle of the stud that is not threaded, would help with this. Other than that, met all expectations.

The studs are great, how ever the AFE manifold I tried to install does not have enough clearance between the stud and manifold pipe to be able to get the flanged nuts on. Truck should have been operational by now but its gonna be dead for a while cause of this. not really the fault of the studs/nuts but nonetheless there shoudn't be problems like this.
