Description
This condenser guard for '03-'09 Dodge Ram trucks is black powdercoated and has a U-shaped upper lip that slips over the top of the condenser to protect the top condenser fins. This U-shaped design also makes the installation as easy as slip over and fasten in place with nylon tie wraps.Includes 24" x 24" nylon mesh bug screen.

I have spent quite a few dollars through Gino's garage and have been happy always with every product I have bought however after purchasing the air conditioning condenser guard I am extremely unhappy it is five times the price it should be it is held on with zip ties and comes in a box all bent and crinkled up If it was a $10 product I would be happy because that's about all it is worth
Owner Response:We would first like to apologize for your parts arriving damaged. This is unacceptable. We self-insure and are happy to replace any item that arrives damaged. All we need is a photo sent to info@genosgarage.com. Please include your name and address. Normally, we would ship a replacement part. But your feedback indicates you would not be interested in a replacement. Once we have that photo, we will process a refund back to your credit card or Paypal account. Again, please accept our sincere apologies for the damaged shipment.
With regard to the quality and design of the condenser guard, we did originally offer a bolt-on condenser guard. Over the years, however, changes made to the trucks required modification to the condenser guard. The current design will work universally on all 2003 - 2009 trucks. But it sounds like this is not an optimal set up for your truck.
Remember, any time you purchase a part from Geno's Garage, you have the right to return it for a full refund. We only ask that you return it in "as new" condition. Additionally, we warranty all parts for one year from the date of purchase.

I needed the condenser guard as I am height challenged and every time I needed to reach in an do any thing to the Cummings my arm would hit the top fins of the condenser bending them together. So the condenser guard was just the ticket, protects the condenser and eliminates my having to straightening them then repainting. I found the guard could have been, maybe 1/2 inch wider but it works as is. I had to get creative on installing the plastic tie downs, but no biggie.

The picture in the catalog shows the old design which I like better than the one I received. The top that goes over the fins is solid now and I think it may affect cooling because it is now blocking ten percent of the air flow going through the condenser.
I may be wrong but theoretically right.
A workable solution

The Linex on my brush guard failed primarily because of the integral rock guard, so this product was a reasonable solution. With a brush burner, I melted off the remaining Linex on the guard, and then cut off the rock guard mesh. Then purchased this product to do that job. Seemed somewhat thin for 16ga, and indeed it mic'd out to be just over .050. But that's 16ga for aluminum, which I think this product is made of. Anyway, done deal. Should work better than nothing at all, and it was super easy to install if you down mind climbing under your truck to fasten the tie-wraps.

This is definitely nicely made and it is also great that it comes with the screen to put between the guard and condenser. The only thing I dont like is the fitment. Its about an inch too small on either side and it held in place with two zip ties. Perhaps the fitment problem is because of my new aftermarket condenser, but for 70$ after tax and shipping I was disappointed in this particular product.
