Previous pads on the truck were Raybestos heavy duty towing pads. By comparison, to me, these pads feel like I don't have any brakes. They take way more brake application pressure than I am comfortable with. They are quiet and smooth, with good hardware, and probably will be way better for brake rotor life, they just aren't for me. Around town they are fine.
Note: the application here is short off ramps in Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, Texas etc., so 70+ mph with a short off ramp. Also: I have not towed with them.
